Weekly adult weaving sessions - Monday evenings in Deptford

These group sessions are a great opportunity for beginners to learn to weave from scratch or for anyone with weaving experience to build confidence, skills and knowledge in a friendly group environment. 

Running for 10 weeks from 22nd September with a break for half term these sessions are held at Cockpit in Deptford from 6-8.30pm on Monday evenings. 

You will be allocated an 8-shaft table loom to work on during the sessions and the other equipment and books you need to use will also be available. 

Beginners will start to weave on a pre-prepared loom from the very first session and then move onto planning and making a sampler warp, dressing the loom and then weaving - all with careful guidance and support. 

If you’ve got some experience we’ll discuss your aims and plan a project so that you can experience the whole process, practice your skills and make something to be proud of.

Previous projects have ranged from scarves to wall hangings, bags, cushion covers and home accessories.
